I am completely technologically-challeneged, so I have no idea what eats up all the memory on a phone. A mini explanation (for the techno-savvy level of a 85 year old grandma, please!) would be hugely appreciated! Thanks :)Taranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29798185.post-38475655309108632472008-12-15T03:45:00.000-08:002008-12-15T03:45:00.000-08:00The best software for 'drugs' I think is 'Davis Dr...The best software for 'drugs' I think is 'Davis Drug Guide for Physicians' by Medical Wizards. It indicates the most common adverse effects and the most serious ones using different colors that i found immensely useful. Well the best software in general is 'UpToDate' - this comes with lexi-comp drug reference that is pretty complete. The other good ones: Lexi-Comp, Skyscape, Medical Wizards, USBMIS [select titles from these sellers].Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29798185.post-57767992152576584032008-08-21T19:05:00.000-08:002008-08-21T19:05:00.000-08:00Good god damn this was helpful. Also the Sanford Guide is the best for detailed antibiotic use. Lastly, (and this is from an pharmacist, not an MD) i like Harrison's, but if i could only have 1 medical reference on a desert island-it would be the Merck Manual-very concise and fairly complete. Hope this helps you-and thanks again for the research!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29798185.post-5413220722131420422008-07-30T06:54:00.000-08:002008-07-30T06:54:00.000-08:00I am so glad I stumbled upon your post. Just two days a go I was brain storming whether to get the new iPhone for my rotations or just stick with the other more common ones students use for this matter (iMate, etc).

I still do not know what to do. This thing about not finding enough good medical software for the iPhone is scaring me.YShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03289983634334714758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29798185.post-56593630329994563892008-07-29T17:58:00.000-08:002008-07-29T17:58:00.000-08:00Thanks so much for the great info! However:Please a...Thanks so much for the great info!

However:
Please avoid the use of the term 'pimp'. There's a student rate, I'm pretty sure, and it gives you a few programs which I use commonly: Lexi-interact, which lets you figure out if meds interact with each other. Lexi-drugs, which is similar to epocrates. Harrisons.

I also really like Up-to-date.

And silly as it sounds, I have Toronto Notes loaded on my palm too.Lianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13354145408658237195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29798185.post-69725480423403999482008-07-24T17:28:00.000-08:002008-07-24T17:28:00.000-08:00Wow, thanks for posting this bud!BbanWow, thanks for posting this bud!

BbanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
