Vomiting is more fun than PBL.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how ironic is it that I got food poisoning at the hospital cafeteria?

  1. If it''s true, a 10 for sure. Just, how can you be sure you got it from the hospital cafeteria? As far as I know food poisoning can take quite some time to kick in, so how can you be so sure where you got it from?

  2. I'd give it a 9/10. CFIA or the FSIS would earn a 10 I think.

  3. I'm quite sure...10/10 if I had to rank it. Had a small lunch, then a late dinner, and woke up in the night ill with fever & shaking chills... sick in the morning... just about right for your typical 6-8 hr onset for food poisoning.

And sorry Norm-o, during finals, whining is all you get... wait till the summer. I've got tons of stories I'm just itching to write up when I get the time!

  4. Case-based learning, also known as problem-based learning. Mandatory, early in the morning, and with frequent self-evaluation.... let's just say, only few call this their favorite method of education.

Not to say I'd prefer to sit in lecture for the entire day, though.

  5. I reckon not at all....hospital food is generally pretty awful everywhere I have been.

  6. You must go to my school; I know at least 5 people (nursing/meddies) who have gotten rather nasty food poisoning from the hospital cafeteria.

(The salad bar is perfectly safe though! I eat from it all the time!)
